Elias has made so much progress in the last few days. He’s also been much crankier than usual and had trouble sleeping last night. I am not sure, but I think this must have something to do with his current state of development.
Elias is now able to pull himself up into a sitting position. He’s finally getting on his hands and knees and is starting to crawl. He’s not all over the place yet, but I know he soon will be. When in a standing position, he’s getting a lot more daring as he learns to balance himself. He’ll try balancing himself with one hand, bouncing up and down and sitting down slowly from a standing position. Sometimes he tries to take steps, but that’s not very common yet.
He is becoming more consistent in saying “baba” when he’s hungry and “nana” or “nigh nigh” when he’s sleepy. He says mama and dada a lot, so it’s hard to figure out if he’s just babbling or actually calling to us.
He seems to be starting to give kisses, if you want to call them that. With a large, open mouthed smile he’ll sort of attack an area of my face. He gets a kick out of it.
Elias is getting a kick out of a lot of things these days. He does things he knows we don’t want him to do with a big smile on his face.
Even though he is a bit crankier, he’s still a huge sweetie pie who loves to smile and have a good time. I can’t believe how much he changes every day. Hopefully I’ll have some pictures and videos up this weekend.
