Feeding and Diapers
Posted by: Lynda In: 0 Months - Newborn| Breastfeeding| Cloth Diapers| Photos
My supply does seem to be increasing at least a little bit. I’ve been able to do two feedings today without any supplement. Of course, then he nursed from 2-5pm and took about 3oz of formula, so I don’t know if he was just making up for lost food or what.
Cloth diapering is going VERY well. I really like it, although I need to look up more directions on putting on prefolds because I still struggle with them. One thing I learned: I got way too many covers! I have five or six newborn covers and I really don’t need anymore than three at maximum. I think I’ve done the laundry every day, so that’s a downside, but it’s not a deal breaker. It’s better than having a bag full of trashy diapers every day. We’ve used 3 disposable diapers since we got home from the hospital - one the first night and a couple when I got far behind on the laundry.
Anyway, baby is being fussy again. I just wanted to post quickly to let you guys know I’m not sinking deep into a pit of despair, although the supply issues do get me down. There are good things going on in my life around me and I still laugh and smile frequently throughout the day. Mark’s mother and sister are coming into town tomorrow to visit over the weekend and I can’t wait to see them and for them to meet Elias!
Finally, I’ll leave you with a picture I took last night when Elias finished nursing. I love the poses he gets himself into:
